1

Route planner

Manual, Smart and Straight planning, Trail, Hard O.R., Off Road and Road profiles, GPX import/export and checkpoints.

2

Disk-first map cache

4

Group mode

Small riding groups with live locations, nicknames, map visibility controls and in-group ASSIST coordination.

5

Event mode

An official GPX imported by each participant, organizer and sweeper roles, live rider overview, incident coordination and immediate map safety warnings.

VUNO Safety Network

Safety is not one isolated feature; it is a core part of VUNO's identity. A connected set of warnings and communication tools informs the rider, their group or the people they have chosen, depending on the situation.

  • Oncoming riderA visual and voice warning when another visible rider is moving in the opposite direction, giving both riders time to react.
  • Steep gradesDifficult uphill and downhill sections are marked on the map, with an optional voice warning approximately 100 metres before them.
  • Group and Event ASSISTA request for help to active participants, with a clear status showing whether it was stored, failed or was received by another device.
  • Fall GuardProbable-fall detection, a loud two-minute alarm and, if the rider does not respond, an alert to the active Group/Event plus an SMS to up to two verified contacts.
  • Organizer announcementsImmediate voice and visual Event information about a blocked road, water, an obstacle, a safe stop or a detour, with a marker at the real location.
  • VUNO Alerts and SignalsTemporary hazards and useful community information appear on planned or active routes that pass nearby.

VUNO Safety Network supports prevention, awareness and coordination. It does not replace rider judgement, real-world signs or official emergency services.

PULSE & VUNO Alerts

Share trips with photos and useful points. A temporary hazard can warn other users when their route passes nearby.

VUNO Alerts · Community route intelligence

Useful information does not stay locked inside one post.

When a user marks a temporary hazard on a published PULSE trip, its exact position becomes an active VUNO Alert. If a planned or active route passes nearby, VUNO shows it on the map and warns the rider on approach.

Photos, POIs and ordinary notes remain attached to their post. Only a point explicitly marked as a temporary hazard is shared as an Alert.

1
A point on the routeTitle, detail, severity and exact location, with automatic expiry within seven days.
2
Planner and active navigationA marker and banner on the route, plus a voice warning when approaching.
3
Live community confirmation“Still there” or “Cleared”. Old reports can be withdrawn earlier when the community disproves them.
VUNO Alerts are user-submitted information, not official or guaranteed warnings. No Alert does not mean no hazard. Always assess the real terrain and stop safely before operating the app.
VUNO Fall Guard · Solo riding safety

Your trusted contact can be warned without an active Group.

If VUNO detects a probable fall, it creates a protected pending incident. If you do not answer the loud alarm within two minutes, the server attempts to send one short SMS to each verified contact with a private link to your latest available location.

1
VUNO Fall IntelligenceAn innovative multi-factor VUNO mechanism with four successive assessment layers, designed to identify a probable fall while limiting false alarms.
2
Two minutes to answerA loud alarm before any external notification is attempted.
3
One SMS per contactUp to two people, only after each has explicitly agreed to receive alerts.

For riders

VUNO helps you plan, follow and save routes for real mountain use. It does not replace judgment, equipment or checking the actual road and terrain.

For events

Participants import and activate the official GPX before departure, then see the live group inside Event. Organizers get a live overview, clear roles and tools for immediate safety updates.
