Important safety guidance and disclaimer.

VUNO is designed to assist riders on adventure, off-road, trail and road routes. It does not replace experience, judgment, preparation, equipment or official emergency services.

Before You Start

Before following any route:

• check the condition of your motorcycle or vehicle,
• make sure you have enough fuel, water and suitable equipment,
• tell someone about your planned route,
• check weather, daylight, road closures and access restrictions,
• assess whether the route matches your skills.

While Riding

Do not operate the app while riding. If you need to change a setting, read details or send information, stop first in a safe place.

Voice instructions, navigation bars, gradient alerts and wrong-way warnings are aids. They cannot identify every obstacle, road condition or hazard.

Maps, Temporary Cache and Routing

Maps and temporarily cached tiles may be outdated, unavailable or removed from the device. The cache is not a guaranteed offline map. Routing may suggest roads or sections that are closed, unsuitable, dangerous or unlawful for your vehicle.

If actual conditions differ from the app, follow the real environment, road signs and safe judgment.

VUNO Alerts

VUNO Alerts are temporary reports from adult users about obstacles or hazards near a route. VUNO does not inspect them on site. They are not official announcements and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or fail to appear because of GPS, internet, distance filtering or a technical fault.

No VUNO Alert does not mean no hazard. Community confirmation is not a safety certification. Reduce speed, observe the actual terrain and follow official instructions and signs. Stop in a safe place before opening details or confirming a report.

PULSE CHECK and VUNO Signals

VERIFIED RIDE describes a technical match between a locally stored trip and a public route track; it is not an on-site inspection by VUNO. PULSE Checks and VUNO Signals come from users, may be subjective, inaccurate, incomplete or outdated, and do not certify passability, legality or safety.

No Signal does not mean the route is clear or safe. A Signal or its confirmation does not replace signs, closures, authority instructions, weather information or personal assessment. Stop safely before adding, reading or confirming information.

ASSIST

VUNO ASSIST alerts other participants inside supported group features when the feature is active and a connection is available. It does not automatically contact police, fire, ambulance, rescue services or other authorities.

In a real emergency, contact the local emergency number immediately.

Fall Guard and Contact SMS

Fall Guard is an optional aid for situations where a rider may be unable to operate their phone. It combines sensor and GPS indications, waits for confirmed immobility and displays a two-minute cancellation alarm. When verified contacts exist, it registers a pending incident on the protected server. Tapping “I'm OK” requests cancellation, but cancellation takes effect only after server confirmation; if confirmation fails, an SMS may still be sent. If the incident is not cancelled within two minutes, the server may send one SMS to each of up to two contacts with a private link to the latest available location.

Fall Guard is not a medical device and does not guarantee detection of every fall. It can trigger falsely. It requires VUNO to be running, detection to be enabled, a functioning phone, available GPS, internet, SMS coverage and functioning third-party providers. “Accepted for sending” does not guarantee that a message was delivered or read.

Fall Guard does not automatically call 112 or any rescue service. Contacts should first attempt to reach the rider and, if they believe a real danger exists, contact official emergency services themselves and provide the displayed location.

Never use Fall Guard as your only safety measure. Before riding, tell a trusted person your plan and expected return time, check battery, signal and GPS, carry suitable equipment and use an independent communication plan or emergency device where conditions require it.

Group and Event

Rider visibility on the map depends on GPS, internet, battery, device permissions and third-party providers. A rider may appear late or may not appear at all.

Event organizers are responsible for the route, participant information, permits and event safety. VUNO provides a coordination tool, not event supervision.

Final Responsibility

Use VUNO as an aid, not as your only source for decisions. The user always remains responsible for every route and every riding decision.
